Facility description for Coating Place, Inc.

The 110,000+ ft² state-of-the-art facility is located in Verona, Wisconsin, USA. A range of Wurster fluid bed coating units is available to process batch sizes ranging from 10 g to over 600 Kg. Coating Place, Inc. continues to manufacture and operate proprietary state-of-the-art coating equipment for its GMP operations.

Custom/company design, based on original Wurster patents provides linear scalability from single nozzle to 3- and 7-nozzle coating units. All coating units are permitted for organic solvent, aqueous, and hot-melt coating applications.

On-site GMP analytical support services are available for raw material and finished product testing.

Recent Developments

Since 1998, Coating Place, Inc. has more than doubled facility size from 50,000 ft² to 110,000+ ft². Two new 3-nozzle production units were added in 2001 and 2002. New 3-nozzle and 7-nozzle pharmaceutical suites scheduled for operation Q4, 2003 will bring Wurster coating capacity to 31 nozzle equivalents. Additional warehouse space was added in 1999, 2001, and 2003. All areas of the facility have been updated to state-of-the-art pharmaceutical standards.

A New Look for CPI - Winter of 2006

Controlled substance capability was added in Q2, 2003. With this offer, Coating Place, Inc. expands its operations to encompass Rx prescription, OTC, and schedule II-V controlled substance applications.

Laboratory operations within Coating Place, Inc. were brought up to GMP standards in early 2002. The laboratory has the capacity to perform compendia methods and finished product testing to assure product quality.

A New Technology Department was added in early 2002. With this addition the company continues to actively investigate process improvements, related new technologies, and new delivery systems. The innovative spirit of the WARF organization continues within Coating Place, Inc.
