Verona, WI, August 7, 2007: Coating Place, Inc. is announcing its future ability to provide production scale encapsulating with 100% check weighing in addition to their patented Wurster Fluid Bed Coating services (microencapsulation process).
Coating Place is in the process of installation of two new systems that will allow them to not only coat materials but also fill and weigh capsules for the pharmaceutical market.
With the purchase of a Bosch GKF 1400 capsule filling machine, they will have the ability to fill 84,000 capsules per hour with the option to handle all popular capsule sizes 00 to 5.
In addition, they have purchased a Bosch KKE 1700 capsule check weigher for 100% check weighing with automatic trouble-shooting (ASB). The KKE-1700 will give them the capacity to 100% check weigh up to 100,000 capsules per hour. With the ASB function, it can automatically recognize a deformed capsule in the in feed and separate it. The KKE 1700 will be set-up for in-line use with the GKF 1400 at Coating Place.
Both pieces of equipment combine the latest in technology and GMP compliant designs. Equipment software meets FDA 21 CFR part 11.
