Encap-ENZ is an encapsulated viscosity modifier for use as a delayed release breaker in hydraulic fracturing applications. Encap-ENZ slowly releases enzyme breaker into the fracturing fluid, thus enabling a higher concentration of breaker to be used without fluid rheology being compromised. Enzyme breaker causes hydrolysis of fracturing fluids in the same fashion as persulfate breaker. This product is a solid form of breaker that is not lost within the proppant pack during fluid leak-off. Encap-ENZ can be used in fracturing fluids above 150°F with a pH range of 8 to 10.

Encap-ENZ can be substituted for enzyme breakers currently in use. With any fracturing application, we recommend that break tests be conducted with the fluid formulations to determine the best possible concentrations.
