Ammonium Persulfate (APS) is an uncoated viscosity modifier for use in hydraulic fracturing applications where immediate viscosity modification is acceptable. This product is a solid form of breaker without delayed release encapsulation properties. APS can be used in fracturing fluids up to 150°F.

APS can be substituted for persulfate breakers currently used in non-delayed release applications. With any fracturing application, we recommend that break tests be conducted with the fluid formulations to determine the best possible concentrations.
